Dr. Shurley earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top of his class. He also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During his final year of dental school, Dr. Shurley was selected as one of only six Diamond Scholars—a rigorous program allowing students to complete the Advanced General Dentistry (AEGD) residency curriculum alongside their senior-year studies.
Following dental school, Dr. Shurley commissioned into the United States Air Force and completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada—where he was named Top Resident. During this intensive year, he trained extensively in surgical procedures, dental implants, complex rehabilitation, conscious sedation, and the management of orofacial pain. Dr. Reiter earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology through the Honors Program. Her academic achievements include Dean’s List recognition throughout her undergraduate years, the Zell Miller Scholarship, and most recently, the prestigious Thomas Hinman Scholarship — awarded to dental students who demonstrate exceptional promise and commitment to the profession.
